Principal's Message

Dear Platt Middle School and CHOICE Program Families, Students, and Staff,

I am thrilled to introduce myself as the Interim Principal of Platt Middle School and the CHOICE Program. It is an honor to join this incredible community, and I am excited to begin this new chapter in partnership with all of you! 

Of sorts, this is a homecoming for me! From 2008 until 2014, I had the privilege of serving as an Assistant Principal at Platt/CHOICE, and those years helped shape the leader I am today. The relationships I built, the dedication of the staff, and the spirit of the Platt and CHOICE community have stayed with me ever since. 

Most recently, I have had the pleasure of serving as the Principal at Birch Elementary in the Boulder Valley School District. While I have loved my 11 years at Birch, I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to return to Platt/CHOICE, this great community, and my roots, and my love for all things middle-level!

Over the coming weeks, I look forward to meeting our students and families, getting to know our talented staff, and learning about the many great things already happening at Platt and within the CHOICE Program. Every school has its own unique strengths and traditions, and I am excited to listen, learn, and celebrate the work that is already underway.

My experience has taught me that strong schools are built on relationships, collaboration, and a shared commitment to helping all students thrive. I hope you'll introduce yourself when you see me around campus. I am eager to partner with you as we continue to create a welcoming, engaging, and supportive learning environment for every student.
