Literacy Support Class - ASC

Wolf reading a book on floor with coffee cup next to book

Here at Platt, we are dedicated to getting each student the help that they need. Because of that, we offer extra General Education Academic Support Classes (ASC) in Literacy that are tailored to the student's level of instructional need. Classes focus on both reading mechanics and comprehension. These classes happen during the school day, and do not take the place of any core classes, although they may take the place of an elective.

Students leave these classes as stronger, more confident readers who have learned to work on their challenges in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Please reach out with any questions you may have about our Literacy Academic Support Classes (ASCs).

Math Support Class - ASC

Wolf teaching math

In math support students focus on reinforcing specific skills from their current math class. They have the opportunity to review homework and practice concepts from class in small group settings. We also work on identifying and filling in specific gaps so that students can continue to progress on earlier skills. We work one-on-one and in small peer groups to build confidence and reignite a love for math!
